Tyrone U21 Vs Donegal

The Tyrone Under 21’s returned to action on Wednesday night for the quarter finals of the 2012 Cadbury’s Ulster Football Championship against Donegal. Tyrone defeated Fermanagh in the Preliminary round last week with ease and this game started in a similar vein when they went 0-05 to 0-00 up after 20 minutes despite hitting numerous wides. The Donegal defence clearly struggled throughout the opening half but Tyrone didn’t punish them to the best of their ability. Half time; Tyrone 0-07 Donegal 0-02.

The second half should have been a non-contest for Raymond Munroe’s side but carelessness in some passing and failing to put the game away in the first half meant that a slightly more organised Donegal side came out and if they scored more of the opportunities they were offered, it would have been a closer game.

Having said that Tyrone will be happy to have reached the semi-finals in 2 weeks time against last year’s rivals Down. Full Time; Tyrone U21 0-12 Donegal U21 0-06

Not a very entertaining game to watch or photograph but it passed a couple of hours on a Wednesday night!
