Rock Vs Derrytresk – 2013 Tyrone GAA Intermediate Club Championship, First Round

The first Tyrone championship tie on Sunday took place in Dunmoyle when Rock played Derrytresk in the Tyrone Intermediate club championship.

Conditions were very windy but fortunately dry but it had a major impact on the quality of the game. Rock played with the breeze in the first half and made the most of it with points coming from Diarmuid Carroll and Conor Mc Creesh allowing them to take a 0-06 to 0-01 lead in at HT.

In the second half, Derrytresk played with the breeze but failed to use it to the same advantage. Niall Gavin hit an early point for Derrytresk but Rock kept battling too with scores coming from Aidan Mc Garrity and Mc Creesh. In the end, Rock proved too strong in around midfield and it’s Paudge Quinn’s side who progress to the quarters.

Full time score; Rock 0-09 Derrytresk 0-03.
