Killyclogher Vs Derrylaughan – 2012 Tyrone GAA Senior Championship, Quarter Final

Killyclogher have reached the Power NI Tyrone SFC semi-finals after defeating Derrylaughan Kevin Barry’s 0-11 to 0-08 in the second of Friday night’s double header at Healy Park.

Derrylaughan were left to rue some missed opportunities in the first half that would have left them closer to their opponents at the break and only managed to score 2 points in the opening 30 minutes. Killyclogher on the other hand notched up scores in the opening half from Simon O’Neill, Mark Bradley and Leo Meenan to make it 0-07 to 0-02 at the break.

Both sides were guilty of very poor passing and play in the second half which didn’t make for a high entertainment rating overall in the game. Killyclogher perhaps made more of a meal of the game that they needed to in the second period and let Derrylaughan within 2 points from them after scores from Fergal Mc Aliskey and Shea Coney. Derrylaughan could even have levelled the game if it hadn’t had been for a brilliant save from Killyclogher goalie Mark O’Kane but they managed to hold and points from Simon O’Neill meant they are the first club to reach the 2012 Tyrone SFC semi-finals.

Full time score; Killyclogher 0-11 Derrylaughan 0-08.
