Coalisland Vs Omagh

A large crowd braved the autumnal elements on Sunday evening in Dunmoyle to see Coalisland na Fianna take on Omagh St. Endas in the quarter final of the Tyrone SFC.

Omagh started terrifically with a well worked move from Ronan O’Neill which ended in a goal from Cathal Mc Carron inside the first 2 minutes. ¬†Paddy Mc Niece and Eoghan Carberry soon added points for Coalisland and Conor Clarke picked up two points of his own for Omagh to leave the half time score; Omagh 1-03 Coalisland 0-04.

As the light fell in the second half and the wind continued to howl, Coalisland made the brighter start following points from Brian Toner and Stephen Mc Nally but they were dealt a blow when team captain, Peter Donnelly, was sent off for an off the ball incident. Ronan O’Neill continued to get more scores on the board for Omagh but a Paddy Mc Niece free kick deep into injury time ¬†levelled the sides 0-10 to 1-07 and resulted in yet another drawn Championship game this weekend.
