Clonoe Vs Omagh – 2013 Tyrone GAA Senior Club Championship, First Round

In the second double header in Dunmoyle, Clonoe and Omagh met again in the Tyrone SFC first round game.

Omagh St Endas made a number of late changes to their side before the throw in and they went in without Joe Mc Mahon and Cathal Mc Carron to name two major players, a blow to any team. Clonoe got off to a fine start when Connor Mc Aliskey got onto the end of a high ball and flicked it into the net. Omagh responded right away and a fine move resulted in Ronan O’Neill too fisting the ball into the Clonoe net. This was as close the teams got though as Clonoe took a 1-08 to 1-04 lead in with them at HT.

Clonoe started where they left off in the second half when they were awarded two penalties, both of which were converted by Colm Doris and despite the late dismissal of Dan Mc Nulty for Clonoe they held on for a deserving 8 point win.

Full time score; Clonoe 3-09 Omagh 1-07
